Iris was born in Tyrol, Austria and recently graduated from RADA (MA Theatre LAB – Physical Theater & Devising). After finishing her BA in acting and musical theatre at the conservatoire in Vienna she worked in the Austrian industry for the last ten years (incl. major theatre venues and production companies).

She has trained in Physical Theatre with Euripides Laskaridis, Gabrielle Moleta, Jüri Nael or Guillaume Pigé and in Puppetry and Object Theatre with Mervyn Millar and Sue Buckmaster as well as at the Curious School of Puppetry with Sarah Wright and Toby Olié.

Major projects in the past were The Great Elephant Chase (dir. Mervyn Millar, Significant Object), The Last Days of Mankind (dir. Paulus Manker), a seven-hour immersive production, What if Birds (dir. Euripides Laskaridis), Iphigenia in Vienna (based on Gary Owen’s Iphigenia in Splot) and Theatre for Young Audiences such as Alice in Wonderland as Alice or Pinocchio as Pinocchio.

Recently cast for The Vanishing Elephant opening at the New Victory Theatre in New York.
