After studying at Cambridge University, Ella trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. She is originally from Teesdale in the North East. Whilst training she played the Madre in Lorca’s Blood Wedding and Yelena in Uncle Vanya. At Cambridge she toured productions internationally across Asia and Europe and worked with the Marlowe Society.

Her recent stage credits include Windfall directed by Mark Bell at the Southwark Playhouse; and touring Much Ado About Nothing as Hero with Oddsocks Theatre.

Ella is also a writer and director.
