Jasmeen James is a recent graduate of The Court Theatre Training Company where she did a 2 year intensive BA Hons in acting. During her time there she had training in Acting, Laban, Voice, Movement, Singing, Stage Combat, Acting for Camera, Period dance, Devising and Classical text.
Credits from The Court Theatre include Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Jeremy Young and Servant in The House of Bernarda Alba directed by former Artistic Director of the Finborough Theatre, Phil Willmott.
Before training at The Courtyard Jasmeen was part of The Team Welcome Ceremonies during the Olympic Games in London. She performed all summer in the Olympic village with The National Youth Theatre, and was also a part of The Shakespeare Festival where she played Iago in Othello at The Garrick, Lyric and Unicorn Theatre.
Jasmeen is an instinctual animalistic actor who enjoys the physical and cerebral work of her craft. She is fuelled with energy and has a natural ability to connect to serious text.
