Ciara graduated from CPA Studios in July 2017 with a Trinity Level 6 Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre, winning the Acting Award for her graduating year. Although a strong singer and mover, it is acting that always drives Ciara’s work.

Her credits in training include the featured role of Girl in Flapper Dress in Girls Like That, Bird Girl in Seussical Junior and Helen Stewart in Bad Girls – The Musical. She was also Dance Captain for Michael Naylor’s politically charged piece Iron Sky at the CDET conference in November 2016.

Although she graduated young, Ciara is a dedicated, intelligent and mature actress who brings vibrancy and truth to her work, and relishes a challenge.

Ciara most recently played Mrs Lovett in Stephen Sondheim’s Musical Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The production played two shows at the Cockpit Theatre before a three week run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Whilst at the Fringe, Ciara was interviewed live on BBC Radio London and sang ‘Worst Pies in London’ for the Station, which was broadcast across the UK.

‘The standout performance of this show, however, was Ciara Waterfield’s luminous portrayal of Mrs. Lovett. Waterfield became Mrs. Lovett. She is an exceptional actor and a talented singer, who made this difficult music sound simple. Waterfield should be onstage in Broadway or in the West End – not someday, but now. She is that good. She made the entire show. I have no doubt that she will be a star one day, and everyone who has seen this production of Sweeney Todd will be saying, “I knew her when…” ‘
