Vanessa is natural comedian with a sharp wit and dark sense of humour and has diverse experience on the stage and in
front of the camera. She has toured extensively (both indoors and out!) and also worked in the West End.
Her most recent theatre work includes Jean in SKIRMISHES (Leatherhead Festival Theatre), for which she won the Sir Michael
Caine Award for Best Actress in the Leatherhead Drama Festival 2011, Hilfe in THE PREGNANT FARMER (the Lion’s Part – Globe
Theatre/Borough Market), Mistress Ford in THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (The Changeling Theatre Co – Open Air Tour).
Other work includes Angela in ABIGAIL’S PARTY (Hall for Cornwall), Mrs Bardell/Miss Wardle in THE PICKWICK PAPERS (National
Tour incl. Ipswich New Wolsey, Theatre Royal Bury St. Edmunds), the first British reading of AFTER ASHLEY, in which she
played Ashley (Finborough Theatre); Woman in LONDON TONGUE (Old Red Lion); Kate in HUNTER (Hampstead Theatre); Hermia in
A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT DREAM (Young Shakespeare Co); Maria Feletti in ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST for Brute Farce; Gail
in TEECHERS also for Brute Farce.
Television includes Alice in DOUBLE TIME for Tiger Aspect; Alice Beaufort in THE CRUSADES (BBC Jam), and Marjorie Kempe
in THE BATTLE FOR BRITAIN'S SOUL for BBC. Films include IN A DAY (Goldcrest Films), and DEAD ON TIME for

She played the female lead of Linda Fortune in the hit comedy podcast, THE PARANORMALISTS, which can still be found on
I-Tunes to download.
Vanessa has narrated the unabridged version of Robyn Sisman’s novel SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP for Isis Publishing in which she
was able to showcase her skills in accent work, notably New York American, Australian and Eastern European! She is also
on the reading panel for the RNIB’s Talking Books.
A very accomplished dancer, she started ballet at the tender age of 3 and later added tap, contemporary and national
dance to her repertoire. Although she admits that pointe work may be a little more challenging these days, she is
still a very strong all round dancer.
